I do have an alternate option for you, however the DeeZee NXc Running Boards # DZ16202-16233 for your 2018 Honda CR-V would indeed require permanent removal of the front factory mudflaps for installation. They wouldn't be able to re-install once the running boards are in place as they interfere with the front mounting hardware.
This is going to be the case with most running board options for your CR-V, however we do have the Aries AeroTread Running Boards, either in Polished Stainless # AA2051034 or Black Stainless # AA2061034, that allow you to keep the factory mud flaps in place. These boards have a slightly different design at the front so the mud flaps on your Honda CR-V won't need to removed or modified at all to make room for the mounting brackets.
If you really don't want to remove the front mud flaps this is definitely the way to go. I have attached the written installation instructions along with a short video review below that you can also check out.
