Cargo Box for 2020 Toyota Highlander with Factory Roof Rack That Allows Rear Hatch to Open
Published 01/15/2020 >
Question:
For my 2020 Toyota Highlander, I have the factory roof rack on it, but I would really like a cargo box now. But I want to be able to open and close my hatch without hitting the box to avoid any type of damage. Would you know what cargo box will fit my factory rack and let me open the hatch on my Highlander? Thanks!

There is definitely a cargo box that you can use which will both fit the factory OEM roof rack on your 2020 Toyota Highlander and also let you open your rear hatch, the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Roof Cargo Box # Y95AV.
I confirmed with Yakima that this will fit your 2020 Toyota Highlander, and they also measured from the center of the front crossbar to the rear seam where the hatch opens on a '20 Highlander and got 55-1/2 inches (I do recommend taking a quick measurement yourself just to verify).
The SkyBox NX 16 # Y95AV only needs that measurement to be 47 inches or less to allow the hatch to fully open so it's going to be the perfect option for your Highlander.
