Recommended Wiring and Brake Controller for a 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500

Question:
I don't have the tow package on my 2019 MB Sprinter 3500 so I don't have any wiring, but I'm needing to tow a trailer that has electric brakes. So far I've been using my drawtite 75549 hitch to carry a bike rack, and it works great, but now I need wiring and all that jazz. Any recommendations?

Glad to hear you've been getting some good use out of your Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75549!
I recommend using a brake controller with the least invasive installation for the intricate OEM wiring on your 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. For that you need the Tekonsha # TK82VR which will have everything you need to install a 7-Way connector that carries all of the functions you need for the Curt Echo # C51180 brake controller.
The Echo is a unique controller that simply plugs into the 7-Way at the back of your Sprinter and has settings that are adjusted via the Apple/Android smart device app. This means that you don't have to route any wires into the cab of your Sprinter, splice into any wiring under your dash, or worry about anything happening to your OEM wiring. When you are using the trailer hitch for your bike rack the Echo can easily be removed and stored inside your vehicle so it is ready whenever you need it.
To complete a towing setup you also need a ball mount kit (if you don't already have one). I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it includes two ball mounts, one with a 3/4” rise/2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise/4” drop, a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You will want to refer to the attached ball mount article to ensure that this kit is correct for your towing application.
In addition to the helpful article I have attached some review and installation videos that you can check out.
