Does Trailer Wiring Harness C56332 Have a Fuse that Can Be Replaced
Updated 05/11/2015 | Published 05/09/2015 >
Question:
I accidentally shorted something when running my new trailer lights and the hot touched the trailer frame. Is there a fuse in this unit that may have blown that I can replace?

Expert Reply:
Yes, trailer wiring harness # C56332 does have a fuse in a red holder near the large black converter box. If that fuse is fine, then use the vehicle owner's manual to find any fuses related to tow package wiring on the vehicle to check them.
If all of the fuses are good and the harness still does not have power at the 4-Way with any of the light functions on then it is likely that the short damaged something inside the converter and it will have to be replaced.
