The Brophy 50mm Hitch Ball # EH53C-C uses a 1 inch UNF hex nut. I personally verified you'll need a 1-1/2 inch socket, like # ALL643210. The recommended torque spec for all trailer hitch balls with a 1 inch diameter shank is 250 ft-lb.
