What Load Range Tire Do I Need For Triton TC128 Snowmobile Trailer

Updated 11/18/2019 | Published 11/17/2019

Question:

I have a snowmobile trailer. It’s a triton tc128. I was wondering if I could put this rim tire combo on my trailer? The size is the same but the load rating is different? The ones that came on the trailer are E rated. Thank you for any help

The gross vehicle weight rating of the Triton TC128 snowmobile trailer if it has brakes is 3,000 lbs. If it does not have brakes, it is 2,995 lbs. If you are using your trailer to its full capacity, then you would need a tire with a little more weight capacity than the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" Galvanized Spoke Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR D # AM31202 that your reference.

I recommend using the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E part # AM10140 tires which have a 1,520 lb capacity per tire as long as you are inflating them to their max PSI of 80 PSI. If your existing bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2 you can use Aluminum HWT Series S5 Split Spoke Trailer Wheel - 12" x 4" Rim part # AM22319HWT but you would need to have them mounted yourself. We currently do not carry ST145/R12 Load range E as a tire and wheel combo.
