Comparing Draw-Tite and Curt Trailer Hitches for Ground Clearance on 2020 Toyota RAV4

Question:

Good morning. I'm looking at the two 2" hitches available for my 2020 RAV4 and can see they're awfully similar but wondering if there is any kind of difference when it comes to ground clearance. Any help is appreciated - thank you!

When we installed the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # DT82QR and the Curt Class III # C13416 on the 2019 model Toyota RAV4, we actually measured an identical ground clearance measurement of 12". This is taken from the ground to the top of the 2" receiver. So when it comes to ground clearance neither hitch is going to have the advantage over the other on your 2020 RAV4, although that doesn't means there's still not a clear overall winner between the two.

For your RAV4 I highly recommend the Draw-Tite # DT82QR over the Curt option because of its superior capacities (4,500 pounds towing and 675 pounds tongue weight vs. 4,000 pounds towing and 600 pounds tongue weight) indicating a stronger unit.
