Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent

Question:

My MaxxAir deluxe fan 7500K serial #: 2013-01-7500K-0019 the lid will not open with the controls or manually. The manual knob turns and it makes the motor sound like its opening for several turns but does not open. I read other questions and answers and it sounds like the operator mechanism needs replaced. I wanted to get your thoughts and also need instructions on the step by step replacement. Thanks

The correct replacement operator mechanism for a MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent is the Replacement Operator Mechanism part # MA10-20281K-1AF. I really wish I could provide you with exact step by step instructions for replacement but the manufacturer simply does not provide these so that I would not be able to obtain this for you. It looks like you have already saw the parts diagram which I have attached for you again below but this is the only aid we can give to help with installation. If you do not feel confident with installation using this then please take the unit to a qualified service center to have the part installed for you.
