Troubleshooting MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent 7500K That Won't Open

Hi, I have the max air fan deluxe 7500k, the fan stopped opening and closing, it doesn’t make any sound like its trying, tge fan still works, manual open and close works but feels tight altho I don’t know how it was before since i never tried manual open/close

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent, # MA00-07500K probably has a faulty operator mechanism or lift motor. The correct replacement part number for Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan, is # MA10-20281K-1AF. The Replacement Lift Motor for Maxx Fan Plus Roof Vent is # MA10-20270.
My suggestion is first disconnect the mechanical links to the motor and see if the motor will turn. You are looking to identify if the tightness you stated when manually opening is too great for the motor to open the lid. If it is, then you probably need new operator mechanism. If the motor does not operate, you need to replace the motor.
