Question:

Is there any advantage of using the ecohitch instead of the draw-tite or curt for a 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack? I'm debating whether it's worth the extra money or not for the larger hitch. Plan on using it for a bike rack.

I definitely see where you are coming from in regards to pricing vs the larger hitch receiver for your 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack. There are quite a few bike racks that are compatible with the Draw-Tite # 24949 and Curt # C11422 1-1/4" hitch receivers but you can use a lot more accessories with the EcoHitch # 306-X7315. Whenever the 2" option is available for a vehicle we recommend going with it because your short term plan is using it for a bike rack, but the larger receiver will come in handy if you ever need to use it for something else so I recommend using the EcoHitch.

For a bike rack that is compatible with both hitch receiver sizes I recommend the Kuat Transfer # KU74FR. This bike rack secures bikes by their wheels and it has a unique u-shaped base that really makes it easier to load the bike that sits closer to your Golf Alltrack.
