Question:

I noticed in some of the customer photos the 2inch trailer hitch creates a bit of a bulge in the bottom of the fascia after it is installed. Am I seeing this correctly? Do the 1.25inch Drawtite and Curt receivers create a bulge in the fascia?

Yes, you are seeing it correctly on some of the item # 306-X7315 photos. That's 100% installation error. They're not cutting enough of the fascia off to let the safety chain plate clear it.

The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11422 does not have the bulging issue because the smaller receiver and the location of the safety chain loops gives you more space. We had a Golf Alltrack in the shop awhile back and installed this hitch. I have attached a couple of pictures below that show it along with an installation video.

Both the EcoHitch item # 306-X7315 and the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11422 are confirmed to fit the 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack. These hitches are custom fit and bolt to your VW with included hardware.
