Question:
I have the Roadmaster Air cylinder for my braking device. My tow vehicle has the break away kit mounted on it. Can I move the break away cylinder to mount on the braking cylinder, so I can move the entire system between two towed vehicles? We tow a Jeep Wrangler, and now a Cadillac SRX 2016. I saw a break away cylinder mounted direct to the braking cylinder before, but cannot find a mounting bracket. Do you have any help?

Whether you have the Roadmaster BrakeMaster Braking System for RVs with Hydraulic Brakes # RM-9060 or the Roadmaster BrakeMaster System for RVs w Air or Air Over Hydraulic Brakes # RM-9160 you need to keep your breakaway system install on the Jeep Wrangler if you plan on still flat towing that vehicle. I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster who said that the breakaway kit is pressurized and so it needs to stay in a secured location and shouldn't be mounted on the air cylinder. If you weren't planning on towing your Jeep anymore it would be worth moving the breakaway kit but since you plan on switching between the vehicles you need a different breakaway kit.
To use your BrakeMaster system on your 2016 Cadillac SRX you need to install the Breakaway Kit # RM-8600 on this vehicle and then use the Seat Adapter # RM-88282 so the air cylinder will fit properly. Please note that you also need to use the Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751441 on your Cadillac so that the lights work properly with your motorhome.
