Question:
Hello, I want to be able to go to a campground and plug my horse trailer in to the supplied electric by the campground. What I want to put inside is 5 outlets, 1 for portable air conditioner 8000 BTU, 1 fora small microwave, 1 for small fridge 4.5 cubic feet, and 2 for misc. things. I also want 1 outside outlet. What do I need to make this happen? Do you sell everything we need for this project? Thank you for your help.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Aside from the six 15A or GFCI power receptacles (5 interior and 1 exterior) and the breakers/fuses, we have all the parts you need to complete your project.
For the power inlet on the outside of your horse trailer you can use the Epicord 30 Amp Twist Lock Power Inlet # 277-000138 you previously looked at.
The Mighty Cord RV Power Cord # A10-3025ED90 is what you can use to connect your trailer to the shore power provided by the campground. This is a cord is 25 foot long which is long enough for most applications.
You will then need a distribution panel like the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center # PD4560K18LS8. This is a 2-in-1 unit which combines an AC/DC distribution panel with a converter and smart battery charger. This panel features 8 breaker slots so you will have two extras in case you need to add more outlets to your trailer later on. The other distribution panels we offer only feature 3 or 4 slots so the PD4560K18LS8 with 8 slots is your best choice. Another nice part of adding a panel like this is that you can wire your batteries to the converter to keep your trailer batteries charged and you can run all of your 12 volt loads such as lights from the DC fuse panel.
To run all the wires to each power receptacle you can use # 12-1-1 (per foot).
