can I use p25201 pump to replace a shurflo pump 2088-404-144

Yes, you can replace your ShurFlo pump 2088-404-144 with the HydroMax pump part # P25201 that you also referenced. This will have a higher psi rating at 55 than what you have now so you'd have improved water pressure. What you have now is 40 psi.
