In order to install a 7 way connector on your 2019 Kia Sorento, you'll need to first install the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness # 118583 . This gives you a 4 way connection by T'ing into the rear lights on the back of your Kia Sorento and providing you with the starting point for a 7 way connector (there is an installation video attached to this answer that will walk you through this).

From here, you'll need to install the # ETBC7 which provides you with a fully functioning 7 way connector on the back of the vehicle and still allow use of the 4 way connector. Part of this ETBC7 wiring harness plugs into the 4 way connection that you just installed. The remaining wires will be connected to the following:

Blue- Connect to Blue output wire on a brake controller
Black- Connect to the Kia's battery through the included circuit breaker
Yellow- Connect to reverse lights
White- Grounded to unpainted metal surface on tow vehicle

If you don't need the additional functions of a 7-way connector and only need the trailer lights to work, instead of the # ETBC7 , use the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End # 30717 and don't worry about connecting the remaining wires since they will go to functions you don't need. I recommend taping them together and then capping off the ends so that there aren't any loose wires hanging down.

Since your 2019 Kia Sedona is only rated to tow up to 2000-lbs, you're likely only towing a small trailer. If you do have electric brakes on the trailer, you need a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy 2 # 90885 . This requires some hard-wiring into the wires under your dash board, but to provide a quick rundown of what wires from the brake controller will go where:

Blue- Connect to 7 way connector at back of the vehicle
Red- Connects behind brake pedal to stop light switch
White- Ground wire
Black- Connect to 12v power (battery terminal)
