Will the Yakima Holdup 2 Bike Rack Fit with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on a 2012 Toyota RAV4

Question:

Looking at a Draw Tite 2inch hitch for a 2012 RAV4 with a rear spare on the rear door. I have this bike rack it is fantastic, but Im not sure it will fit on the 2012 RAV4. Can you confirm it will fit natively, or will I need a hitch extender?

The etrailer Trailer Hitch, # e98864, would be an excellent choice for your 2012 Toyota RAV4 and your Yakima Holdup 2 Bike Rack, # Y02433. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel tray on your rack is 12 inches, so you should have no problem when in the bike carrying position.

When folded up the distance to the closest part of the rack is 7 inches so that should not pose a problem either, as long as you 2012 Rav4 is similar to the 2010 that we installed the # e98864 hitch on, see video. Since the same hitch fits the 2010 and 2012 models, as long as the spare tire has not been moved out significantly, you should have no problems with your bike rack.

I have a 2011 Toyota Rav4. I installed a 2inch CURT Trailer hitch. I cannot open the rear door. It will not clear the wheel cradles on my Yakima holdup 2 rack.
