Trouble Removing Thule EasyFold XT 2-Bike Rack From Trailer Hitch

I am having a very difficult time removing the rack from the trailer hitch, it just will not release.

There are a couple of components on the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202 that secure it to the trailer hitch so you will want to make sure that both are loosened/disengaged. First make sure the integrated anti-rattle device is completely loosened by using your key to unlock the hand knob and turning it until you're able to wiggle the carrier around within the hitch receiver. Then you will also need to pull the safety pin out of the hitch pin hole.

If you're still having trouble removing the hitch (but you can tell that the anti-rattle device is in fact loosened) then it could just be the angle that you're pulling the rack out at. If you take a look at the video I attached, starting at the 10:20 mark, you can see how the integrated lever at the shank can be used to let you to tilt the rack forward a bit to help create better leverage and a good angle for completely removing the carrier.

I cannot remove the Thule EasyFold XT 903202 bike rack from my vehicle hitch; I unlock it and the knob when turned will not loosen the bike rack to remove from the hitch.
