The hitch pin on the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack # TH83JV is a special design called the "SnugTite" hitch pin and works in tandem with the anti-rattle knob to help keep your bike rack secured to the hitch receiver. In order to remove the bike rack you need to unlock the knob (like you already did) and then turn that anti-rattle knob you unlocked to the left. This loosens everything up and allows you to then remove the rack from the hitch receiver.

What about if you unlock the knobs and you feel the resistance on the turning the knob slip and it does not move the snugs tight hitch pin? Is it something that can be fixed in the internal knob that is stripped or slips while trying to move the threads of the bolt on the snug tight hitch pin… Any advice or is bike rack toast and to remove the whole trailer hitch on vehicle also needs to be removed from frame of vehicle? Yes some advice is needed.
