Correct DeeZee Tailgate Lift Assist for 2019 Ram 1500

DeeZee 43301 doesn’t work for 2019 ram 1500? Help me install this! Everywhere I look u tube, your forums say it does but the videos and instructions don’t show my tailgate, I have two mounting bolts that hold the tailgate pivot rod bracket where I have to put nutsert bolt and bottom plate. Not sure what I’m doing wrong can you assist?

I checked with DeeZee and the correct fit for a 2019 Ram 1500 is the DeeZee Tailgate Assist Custom Tailgate-Lowering System for Pickup Trucks # DZ43302 so it is likely you have the incorrect system.

The Tailgate Assist # DZ43301 you referenced is only for '19 Ram 1500 Classics, which is essentially the 2018 model.

hello sir, I just bought a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Classic Crew cab with a 5 ft 7 inch bed but is NOT the new body style .... mfr date says 8-18 on the door,get this says 2019 on the window sticker it had 19 miles on it when I test drove it and 31 when I drive it home soo is this maybe a 2018 1/2 and there calling it a 2019 and did the new body style come out in mid - 2019 !!! curious about this ... sorry for the long story What I'd like to know is which tailgate assist is the right one for my truck the # DZ43302 OR the # DZ43301 or is there something else please let me know thank you very much

For the 2019 model year Ram released the Classic and the New Body styles. The Classic is basically the 2018 Ram (like what Kyle said) so since that's what it sounds like you have you're going to want to go with the kit # DZ43301.
