Will Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector Fit Cut Out of ProTechTor Series 2001

Question:

I have a 2006 Motorhome with the ProTechTor Series 2001. Probably out of date. I like the idea of Carbon Monoxide protection as well as Propane. Question.. Will the AT36681 mount in the existing cut-out for the Series 2001? Will it require some type of faceplate to cover existing screw holes? Thank you!

It's a very smart idea to replace your out-of-date ProTECHtor Series 2001 and the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector - 12 Volt - White # AT36681 is the perfect option for a replacement.

In regards to a fit, based on my research the ProTECHtor fit a 3-5/8" long x 2-1/2" wide x 7/8" deep cut out and the Atwood fits a 3-9/16" long x 3-7/16" wide x 1" deep cut out so it won't be an exact fit but it is very similar length-wise and you will only need to widen the cut out a bit to install your new Atwood detector.
