Hi John; the RV Safe Propane Gas Detector is designed to replace old discontinued Atwood models. You can choose from the following based on color and if you want to add carbon monoxide detection.
-RV Propane Gas Detector - 12 Volt - 2 Wire - White # RS64FR
-RV Propane Gas Detector - 12 Volt - 2 Wire - Black # RS44FR
-RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - 12 Volt - 2 Wire - White # RS34FR
-RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - 12 Volt - 2 Wire - Black # RS54FR
The include two different bezels to cover the space from the old detector.

The unit works as described. If your unit sits for long periods, disconnect the battery as it does draw voltage.

This fit nicely in my Airstream. I had to be careful so the electrical leads did not get away as the opening in wall is small. I also used electricians tape to ensure the stay tight.

John: Robin's suggestions are right. I just replaced the CO/LP alarm in my Airstream with one of those suggested. Easy install. Caution: if your alarm is connected through a hole in wall, make sure to secure (tape works) the disconnected wires leads so they don't disappear behind the wall. After connecting to the new alarm with wire nuts you may want to electrical tape the entire new connections it can be retrieved, even if one or both wire nuts come off behind the wall. To do that you will likely have to offset one off the connections to get it all through the hole. Don't ask how I know this.?? These alarms "age out" in 5 years. Note the date replaced.
