Recommended Replacement For A ProTECHtor GS961LP-RV Gas Detector

Question:

Thinking of replacing the original ProTECHtor CO detector model GS961LP-RV-Low Power built in 2006. Is there a replacement that would fit into the original mounting hole and provide the same or better protection? Also, how often should CO detectors be replaced?

The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 is going to be the closest replacement to your ProTECHtor GS961LP-RV. It requires a 3-9/16" long x 3-7/16" wide x 1" deep cutout hole and will alert you to both unsafe carbon monoxide and LP gas leaks inside your RV. This detector has a 7 year lifespan, which is pretty standard, and will alert you when it's time for replacement.

@NathanW the old Atwood is no longer around. You can use the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector # RS34FR which does come in white.

Heard obnoxious beep every 15 seconds, finally figured out this is the source . This one was Mfg. 2004… Suspect from what I’ve learned it might be a bit past its life expectancy.
