Question:
Which way is open? Pulled out or left shut to let waste water travel down sewer line?

You will pull the handle on the Valterra Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank # T58 "up" or "out" to let the waste water travel down the sewer line. When the handle is "down" or "in" it closes the line. I have attached some pictures for you to reference as well as a review video for you to check out.
