Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV waste valve. This unit simply adds or replaces a waste valve in your RV's waste system. It's going to be made from a strong and durable, black plastic construction. This is designed for three inch diameter piping. It's going to feature a male pipe thread on this side and then, we're going to have a female pipe thread on this side. If we take a measurement of the outer diameter right here on the male pipe thread, that's going to give us an outer diameter of about three and a half inches. Here on the female pipe thread, just the threads that are on the inside of the pipe, inner diameter is pretty close to three and one quarter inches.
It's going to feature the easily accessible T-handle. It makes opening and closing the gate quick and easy. It's going to be black in color. The unit is already assembled and has the appropriate seals installed for leak-proof performance. If we take measurement of the overall length going this direction with the handle in the closed position, that's going to give us a measurement of pretty close to nine and a half inches. If we open that up, take another overall length measurement, that's going to give us a measurement of pretty close to 12 and three quarters of an inch. Also, I want to point out that on the male pipe thread inside, we're going to have a little nib right here.
That's an attaching tether 00:01:36 if you want to use like a threaded cap for this side so that's there that we can attach it and you don't have to worry about misplacing or losing the cap if you want to do that. That is sold separately. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra RV waste valve.

The valve effectively shuts off or allows water flow between pond filter barrels and thats exactly what its supposed to do.
