Reese Semi-Custom 5th Wheel Base Rail Installation in 2018 Ram 1500 with 6-1/2-foot Bed

Question:
Purchased the 30035 rail kit and fifth wheel hitch to put in my 2018 dodge ram 1500 sport. 61/2 foot box. It doesnt line up . I was advised that additional brackets are required. I looked on line and it says that I need the RP58386 brackets. Is this correct? Do I require more hardware too for proper installation? Thanks in advance.

Reese Universal 5th Wheel Base Rail kit # RP30035 does require drilling since it is intended to fit a wide range of trucks. The Reese semi-custom base rail kit # RP30035-386 for the 2018 Ram 1500 includes the same base rails and hardware as part # RP30035 but adds semi custom brackets, which by themselves are part # RP58386. Adding this semi-custom bracket kit essentially gives you the same components as part # RP30035-386. The same hardware is included in both the universal and semi-custom kits so you do not need anything additional, but we do offer hardware alone as part # 58164.
