I have a 2004 Nissan Xterra it did not come from factory with a trailer hitch will it still have the plug to plug this into

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your 2004 Nissan Xterra did not come with a trailer hitch then most likely it would not have came with the plug for the trailer wiring harness either but you can check this pretty easily by just taking a look under the bumper on the driver side for the four pin connector which you can see in the attached video. If you have this then great, you can use the Tow Package Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118244 for a plug and play install but if you do not you would need to use the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter part # 119178KIT which does require splicing.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13183.
