If you have the extra cash then yes, the Redarc tow-pro Elite part # 331-EBRH-ACCV2 can absolutely be used on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The correct plug for this is the Redarc Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers part # 331-TPH-010. I believe all models came with the plug for a brake controller regardless of whether or not you have the tow package but a quick peak under your dash can confirm this.
