Is Mopar Flat-Tow Wiring Kit Needed for 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

Question:

My RV dealer has installed a base plate, stay and play brake system and light kit on my vehicle. The owners manual says I need a MoPar flat towing Kit. The RV dealer says this is necessary because of the electrical power steering. I need more info.

Yes. You will need to purchase and install Mopar flat-tow wiring kit 68321424AB before flat towing your vehicle, as per Jeep tech bulletin (08-010-17). This kit is available at your local Chrysler and Jeep dealership.

I've attached a photo of the bulletin to assist. Basically there is a severe shake and/or bounce that some refer to as "death wobble". This isn't a mechanical issue but rather a wiring solution. This harness solves the issue so you can flat tow safely.
