Since your gate is under 300 lbs I recommend using the Gorilla-Lift Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist w/ Cable # GL1. This is rated for 300 lbs and is compatible with open utility trailers that have square-tube, round-tube, or angle-iron side walls.
