Replacement Lead and Follow Legs for 5th Wheel Landing Gear on Jayco Trailer

Updated 03/27/2019 | Published 03/25/2019

Question:

I have a 2018 Jayco Eagle Fifth Wheel and bent one of the front leveling jacks. It still works but does not retract all the way. Is this a DYI repair and can you suggest the parts needed.

Expert Reply:

Trailer makers like Jayco typically don't maintain details on the specific landing gear brands they install but we do offer replacement parts and service kits for most brands out there. But since your jack tube is bent you'll need to replace it since there is no way to straighten it out.

You will need to determine if it is the lead/driver leg or the follow leg you need and also check for any brand or part number labels on the jack. You also want to note the length and diameter. I linked a page that will let you see both driver and follow leg replacements. You can click on the tube diameter that matches yours.

One of the more popular lead leg parts is # LG-179013 which mates with follow leg # LG-179014.
