Question:
Run flat Mil Tires to be used. Want electric drum brakes. Want to use original spring perch mounts. I also want a setup with parking brakes.

Dexter left and right 12 x 2 electric drum brakes # 23-112 and # 23-113 include a parking brake and are rated for 6K axles. These use a brake flange with a 5-bolt mounting pattern; if you don't have these already they will need to be welded in place by a qualified welder with the correct jigs to align everything. They can be used with Parking Brake Kit # T2385200.
These are compatible with most standard 12 x 2-inch hub-and-drum assemblies, including Dexter, Lippert (LCI), and AL-KO, such as etrailer hub/drums # AKHD-655-6-K. These hubs include bearings # 25580 (inner) and # 15123. Your existing spindles need to use the same bearings as the new hub/drums in order for them to fit.
Often owners find it a lot easier and even more cost effective to just replace the entire axle with a new one that has brakes, flanges, spindles and hubs included, such as # 8327834-EB from Dexter. This 7K set up does not have parking brakes but it gives you a much easier install and no concerns about parts compatibility so long as your suspension uses 80-inch spring center spacing and your 16-inch wheels use the 8-on-6-1/2 bolt pattern.
