Today we're going to take a look at the 12 inch pre-greased trailer hub and drum assembly with the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. And this is for 5,200 pound and 6,000 pound axles. Now this trailer hub and drum assembly will provide the surface area for your brake shoes to grip when the brakes are activated. This is compatible with both electric and hydraulic drum brakes. This is a sturdy iron construction, uses zinc and enrich paint on the drum to add durability and a zinc finish on the bolts to help resist corrosion. Now, this one is a pre-greased hub and drum assembly.

It's very easy to install. You don't have to worry about packing your bearings or putting in your grease seal. Comes all ready to go. You can see if we just pop this out there, the cap you can see there's your seal and inner bearing all installed, and the same right here on the outer.Now, the grease they use is that lithium complex multipurpose grease, helps keeps the bearings lubricated. This will include both bearings, inner and outer bearings.

The bearing races are pre-installed. The grease seal we mentioned in the back is installed, comes with the grease cap. And then six of the half inch by 20 size lug nuts are all included. This does meet the QAI and CSA certification. Application again for this is 5,200 pound and 6,000 pound axles with the number 42 spindles.

It is compatible with standard axles for most manufacturers, including Dexter, Lippert, and ALCO. The drum dimension on this, we measured the diameter across inner diameter, is right at 12 inches. The width is right at two and a quarter inches wide. It is designed to work with a 12 inch brake assembly. The bolt pattern we mentioned, you can see here, is a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern.

The wheel studs are half inch diameter. And the weight capacity on this is 3000 pounds. So when this is used with one on the other side of the axle, it'll meet your 6,000 pound axle rating.Now the bearings that are included, they use a part number for the inner bearing of 25580, outer bearing part number of 15123, and the grease seal that's pre-installed as part number GS2250DL.
