If the Q7 has a factory 7-way socket you can simply plug in the Curt Echo brake controller # C51180, pair it to your smart phone and you're done. The Echo installs in your trailer connector so there is no bulky box to get in your way inside the car. Please check out the included video.
But if you have no wiring you'll need to install a basic 4-pole harness and an upgrade kit to convert that wiring to the 7-way format required for the Curt Echo.
Available 4-Pole kit with a non-invasive no-splice Zero Contact kit # 119250KIT which uses magnetic sensors instead of direct wired connections to obtain signals from the car. Install videos showing an Audi are linked for this kit so you can see how it works. This ZCI harness requires no permanent modifications. You'll then convert the 4-pole kit to the 7-way format using part # ETBC7L.
