Stabilizer Jacks Not Going Down on Winnebago Because Brakes Not Engaged

Question:
Stabilizer jacks wont go down, sensor says brakes are not engaged, Motorhome is 2004 Winnebago what could cause this!

Expert Reply:
It sounds like your 2004 Winnebago is equipped with a Lippert stabilizing jack system that requires the parking brake to be engaged on the motorhome before the jacks will operate. Before attempting to retract the jacks make sure the parking brake is set on your Winnebago.
If you do have the parking brake engaged then there could be a bad connection or damaged wiring coming from the sensor on your stabilizer system. Check to make sure the connection is still good and there aren't any exposed or pinched wires coming from it that need to be replaced.
If you are still having this issue please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
