How Does Brake Controller Install in 2011 Chevy Colorado
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
On a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 with UY7 wiring tow package 7-way connector and VR4 hitch, theres wires already terminated no connector under the dash that appear to be for a brake controller, with correlating colors all bundled together. At this point would it simply be just splicing to these wires per color coding without any additional modifications needed such as breakers or fuses? If its that simple, great!

Yes it is that simple! To wire in a brake controller to your 2011 Chevy Colorado only requires you to wire the four wires of the controller to the 4 wires that are present under the dash of your truck.
I attached an install video that shows this process on a similar 2015 Colorado.

2011 and 2015 wiring harness are completely different. Confusing at best to watch and try to discern what wires to cut.
