Question:
Hello - Is my boat trailer able to accommodate double eye springs? It currently has 3-leaf slipper springs, but it appears the bracket/hanger see photo is able to or possibly mean to accommodate double eye. Trailer: 2007 Carnai TFS 16-1000 GVWR: 1258 lbs Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The leaf spring hangers you have on 2007 Carnai TFS Trailer are for slipper springs and I am not aware of a way to convert them to double eye leaf springs. In order to install double eye leaf springs on your trailer you would need to remove the hangers you have now and install the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs part # APS4. Once the new hangers are installed you could then add the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles part # e84SR (2) to complete your double eye leaf spring setup.
It may be possible for you to modify the leaf spring hangers you have to accept double eye leaf springs but I cannot recommend this.
