Weight Capacity of Saris Freedom 4 Bike Rack # SA4414B

Question:

Hello, Saris website indicates this model can carry 190 lbs. total with a max weight per bike of 35 lbs. each for the two cradles farthest away from the vehicle. This would indicate to me that the the two cradles closest to the vehicle could support 120 lbs total 60 lbs ea. Sound right to you? We have two heavy ebikes and one 25 lb. Mountain bike to carry. FYI-Wifes ebike is a step through with fenders so wheel clamping wont work. Thanks!

You are correct. The Saris Freedom 4 Bike Rack # SA4414B referenced in your question features a total weight capacity of 190 pounds. The two inner bikes can each weigh as much as 60 pounds and the two outer bikes cannot exceed 35 pounds each. I verified this with my contact at Saris.

With that in mind this carrier will work great for your 3 bikes. You will simply place the 2 e-bikes on the innermost cradles and the mountain bike can be placed on the 3rd cradles away from the rear of the vehicle.
