Question:
How much time does this trailer take to put together? Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes - Foldable - 4,800 lbs Item # DM9713045 I have air tools and am retired auto mechanic. Are the tires upgrades available and are the tires installed? Do we need to buy anything like brake fluid or what else? How many people are needed for assembly?

I reached out to my contact at Demco and he said that the Kar Kaddy SS # DM9713045 can be assembled by 1 person and that it typically takes about 3-4 hours. If you are a retired auto mechanic then it will likely be on the lower end as you have experience with this kind of stuff. I have attached the installation details for you to check out.
It does come with all of the parts you need (aside from tools) but you will need to purchase brake fluid separately.
The tires come mounted on the wheels but you can replace them if you feel like. I recommend going with the Taskmaster ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # TR20514 if you choose to do so. This tire has a load range C (1,760 lbs at 50 psi) and a speed rating of 81 mph. Please note that the instructions for the Kar Kaddy say not to exceed 55 mph though.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Jon, I am considering purchasing the SS Kar Kaddy, with Disc Brakes. Do you have a video of how to assemble the trailer once delivered? Also, I do not like the recommended limited 55 MPH tow speed (tires). When towing it is not unusual to reach 70 to 75 mph when going downhill in our Motorhome. What tire would would you recommend we upgrade to? Also, should we opt for a wider rim and tire at the same time? Thanks, John
