Question:
After one propane tank, in my fifth-wheel trailer, is empty and I turn the lever on the regulator toward the other tank, it doesn’t work even though the second tank is full. If I move the second tank into the first position, it works fine. Can you tell me what I need to do?

Start off by checking your pigtail. If you change your switch so that it is turned towards the side that isn't working and then swap your pigtails as well this will tell you if you need to simply replace a pigtail or if your have a bad regulator.
If you find that it works when you swap the pigtail as well then you just need to replace your pigtail. If your regulator has the gold fittings on it where the pigtail attaches then you need part # 100575-12-MBS. Otherwise you would need part # 100473-15-MBS.
If you find that it still doesn't work then you need to change out your regulator. I recommend going with the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59005 which automatically switches over to your second tank once the first one is depleted. I have attached a review video for you to check out.
