Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com today we're going to take a quick look at the Dometic RV toilet seat. This is going to replace the toilet seat for your Dometic 310 and 311 series RV toilets. It does have the soft close feature to it, which we all know is important in our motor homes and RVs. They're not always the thickest walls, so if you're up in the middle of the night and you're done with your business, it will be nice to not have to wake everybody else up with a slamming lid. This is a wood construction seat and lid, so it is going to stay warmer in the winter.
It's not going to be as cold when we go to sit down. And it's going to be very easy to install. We've got a two hole mount on the back here. You can see we've got all the hardware in there already, but basically you just drop those plastic screws through from the top side here into the two holes that are on your toilet and then we go from underneath, put those little nuts on there. And then on the top we've got these caps, so you cover up those holes.
It gives it a nice finished look.This is a direct replacement for the 310 and 311 series, but just for the sake of peace of mind, some of you who may still be a little skeptical, our overall dimensions. We're looking at right about 15 and a quarter of an inch long for our lid. And we'll lift this up. Try and be careful because that soft close only works when it's attached. Our seat opening is right about 11 inches by about eight inches there.So what I meant by be careful, so if we don't have this portion installed, this lid will fall forward without the soft close functionality to it, so you can smash your fingers like I did a few minutes ago, so you want to be careful with that as you're installing this.
Make sure that you have that bolted down in place before you allow the lid to come down, otherwise it will not close slowly or softly.This is made here in the USA and this is the white option. There's also the exact same seat and lid combo, but in tan, so if you have a a tan toilet, you can get that option as well. You can see the part numbers on the screen there for either option for you, depending on what your needs are. Overall think this is going to be a great quality toilet. I really like that soft close feature there.
The wood is going to make it feel more comfortable, more like your toilet seat at home, plus you're not going to have to worry about that material getting cold in the winter time, so it's going to be more comfortable to use that way. Overall, I think it's a nice quality toilet. It's going to do the job that you needed to do and do it well. That's going to complete our look at the Dometic RV Toilet Seat. Thanks for watching.

The packaging for shipping was excellent, and it fit the Dometic 310 toilet perfect. Goodbye plastic piece of junk, hello easily cleanable, slow close wood.....
Product was what I ordered and works well. Shipping time lagged a little but that is normal for everyone except Amazon.
Product is great for its purpose but one that came with RV broke and there are no replacement hinges so you need to purchase a complete replacement. Otherwise I’m happy with the replacement. Ordered the wrong color at first a was easy to get correct color and return shipment.. just wish return shipment was free.
This is the 4th one of these we have had to buy in about 2 years. They either crack through the seat (and pinch your thigh when you sit down) or the slow-close feature breaks and they start slamming. The most recent one started leaking out a black oily substance when the slow-close feature went out. At $XX I would think they would last more than 6-8 months. I’ve checked with the manufacturer and they don’t offer a warranty. I know a regular household toilet seat would fit (and be cheaper) but it doesn’t cover the pipes on the back of the toilet. Unfortunately, I’m sure I will be buying more of these in the future.
I'm only giving this a four star because I'm unable to give it a 4.9 stars. The reason for the .1 off would be that this toilet seat is more of an off white than a "Tan" which is misleading when ordering. I did want an off white and not a "Tan" but ordered anyway as this was the only reasonably priced toilet seat available as the replacement for the broken one I had. Since it's only myself and my 2 little dogs in my RV, I didn't think a "Tan" would be that bad but to my pleasant surprise upon receiving this toilet seat, I found it's not "Tan", it indeed matches my off white toilet.
When I received my order part of the order was damaged during shipping, I contacted etrailer and advised them of the issue, The phone was answered on the first try and the lady was extremely helpful and polite and replaced the item immediately. I received the new item Within days of calling. Thank you etrailer for being the best. I highly recommend etrailer

We have the Dometic model 310 toilet in our RV. Ours originally came with a cheaper, plastic, slamming toilet seat. This wooden one is a huge improvement. Solid and slow closing.
The color is listed as “tan” but is indeed a bone color which matches the toilet perfectly. Most newer campers have white toilets so finding a bone colored seat was difficult to find. Glad to find one at etrailer and at a reasonable price. Product arrived one day earlier than originally expected too. All around a great product and great company to deal with.
Note: The etrailer logo is not on the seat as shown on the seat in the website pictures. Just the Dometic OEM logo at the back of the lid.

Super easy to install. That's the plus of having an OEM replacement part... other lids did not fit due to the cover for the water pump on the back. Downside is that it is wood (and not super good quality wood either based on taking out the screws on the old one). I would prefer plastic, but could not find anything compatible.
Exactly what we needed, the one that came with it was flimsy!
The left hinge on our lid assembly snapped after the soft close mechanism "froze" I scoured the internet in hopes of just replacing those parts but it appears that when this occurs you have to buy the entire seat/lid/hinge assembly. The best price for it was here at etrailer. Installing the new assembly took about 5 minutes. Thanks etrailer.

The seat had a scratch in the paint but eTrailer made it right by sending a replacement. So, for that reason alone, I would give the seat 4 stars and eTrailer 5 stars. Have not yet used the seat but it seems like it will be fine.

Its a replacement for the same product that broke in 3years. Cant but a commercial toilet lid at hardware store for 20 dollars but a dometic. It just broke at Hinge?
A great replacement for the original plastic version. Just be careful with the bathroom cleaner you use as some can damage the finish.
Great seat and easy to install after a bit of dremeling as my toilet base is an older model with a backstop. Looks awesome!

I just finished installing my replacement toilet seat. I am very happy with this company as they shipped it out the same day and notified me of my tracking number. I ordered on Wednesday and received it on Monday. Installation was easy although I wasn't sure how sensitive the automatic closure was to any pressure. I installed that toilet 4 years ago and have used it nearly every day so if this seat lasts that long I will be happy. I wouldn't call that color tan but I was pretty sure my toilet isn't white so I went with tan. I'm happy!

My toilet seat and lid are working great. When the last lid broke, there was no warning as if it just froze up and broke when I lifted the lid. Startling, but I like the automatic closer, so I would buy it if that happens again.
