Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Dometic RV toilet seat. This is going to replace the toilet seat for your Dometic 310 and 311 series RV toilets. It does have the soft close feature to it, which we all know is important in our motor homes and RVs. They're not always the thickest walls, so if you're up in the middle of the night and you're done with your business, it will be nice to not have to wake everybody else up with a slamming lid. This is a wood construction seat and lid, so it is going to stay warmer in the winter. It's not going to be as cold when we go to sit down and it's going to be very easy to install.
We've got a two hole mount on the back here. You can see we've got all the hardware in there already. But basically you just drop those plastic screws through from the top side here into the two holes that are on your toilet and then go from underneath. Put those little nuts on there. And then on the top it's got these caps.
So, you cover up those holes. It gives it a nice finished look. This is a direct replacement for the 310 and 311 series. But just for the sake of peace of mind for some of you who may still be a little skeptical. Our overall dimensions: We're looking at right about 15 and a quarter of an inch long for our lid. And I lift this up.
Try and be careful because that soft close only works when it's attached. Our seat opening is right about 11 inches by about about eight inches there. And what I meant by be careful: So, if we don't have this portion installed, this lid will fall forward without the soft close functionality to it. So, you can smash your fingers like I did a few minutes ago. So, you want to be careful with that as you're installing this. Make sure that you have that bolted down in place before you allow the lid to come down, otherwise it will not close slowly or softly. This is made here in the USA and this is the white option.
There's also the exact same seat and lid combo but in tan. So, if you have a tan toilet, you can get that option as well. You can see the part numbers on the screen there for either option for you, depending on what your needs are.Overall, think this is going to be a great quality toilet. I really like that soft close feature there. The wood is going to make it feel more comfortable, more like your toilet seat at home. Plus you're not going to have to worry about that material getting cold in the winter time, so it's going to be more comfortable to use that way. Overall, I think it's a nice quality toilet. It's going to do the job that you needed to do and do it well. That's going to complete our look at the Dometic RV toilet seat. Thanks for watching.

Replacement/upgrade toilet seat arrived in two days and was installed in 10 mins. Big change. I can sit on the lid now and don’t feel like I’m going to fall in the toilet.Quietly closes too. No more lid slamming in the middle of the night. Great simple upgrade.
Fast shipping even on a holiday weekend! Thank you.
Unlike Amazon, etrailer gets it right. I order this originally from amazon but it was missing parts and had to return it. Frustrated I searched online and found it at etrailer. Shipping is just as fast as amazon and the item was correct and brand new. Thanks etrailer for caring about your products and customers.
Sine the Dometic 310 is no longer produced, we took a chance this one would fit based on a diagram in another question on trailer. This is a perfect fit replacing the flimsy plastic seat with a wooden one and the added benefit of a soft close lid. Since that is the style I have at home it is nice to have the same in the Brinkley 275 and not waking my wife late late at night when I forget let the lid drop.
I think this is a very nice seat, however, our toilet is a 410 and this one is for a 310 and this one will not fit. The Mounting holes do not line up. If I could swap it out with one that fits that would be wonderful. Shipping was fast, product was packaged very well, and I cannot complain about etrailer. I ordered the wrong one.
This product appears to be made well and has good residential finish. But it has a fatal flaw it's very short screws for the seat. It's closure ability is stiff an easily pulls the screws out of the seat. By getting a larger screw and using a strong adhesive I was able to repair it permanently.
I saw a YouTube video by Boundlessbronnekes about 2 RV bathroom upgrades, replacing the cheap plastic toilet lid/seat being one of them. They gave you, etrailer.com, as their source for the upgraded toilet seat. I am just thrilled with this upgrade. No more sitting on the toilet seat lid to put my shoes on and feel like that lid is going to break. The new one is nice and solid feeling. And it is very quiet when it closes. Thank you!
This is much better than the factory installed seat. It is a lot move solid so you are able to comfotably sit on it with the lid open and closed. Also the solid underside will make this a lot easer to clean. Just don't do as I did, look at your toilet lable to comferm your color before ordering. In some decores and lighting white may look tan.
Excellent product, timely shipping, easy installation. All is Well!

Glad we could get you back on your throne, John! : P Do you know which 310 toilet you installed this on? It fits a few of them.

Exactly what we needed; wooden, soft close and fits the somewhat unusual sape of the Dometic 310 (ie, a valve protrudes slightly above the bowl rim. Installation is easy although the instructions on the packaging from Dometic are not detailed. VERY important is etrailer's shipping packaging which may put the product cost a bit higher than a competitor but you won't be worried about shipping damage or questionable shipper delivery.
