Retractable Tonneau Cover and Ladder Rack Combo for Heavy Kayaks on 2019 Ram 1500

I have a brand new 2019 ram 1500 6.5 short bed crew cab truck. I am trying to find a retractable cover for the bed that would work with an easily removable rack to haul two very heavy kayaks 100 pounds each. I think I would prefer a contained cover instead of the roll on top version. Can you recommend something that would work for me? or is the dodge ram too new of a truck?

I have the perfect option for your 2019 Ram 1500 6.5' Bed Crew Cab as long as you don't have the Multi-Pro Tailgate.
For your application I recommend using the RetraxONE XR Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-60245 along with the Yakima OverHaul HD # Y01151-5855. The tonneau cover gives you that retraceable feature you're looking for but it also has T-Slots in the rails that the adapter that come with the OverHaul HD fit directly to. I've installed a handful of our ladder racks and the OverHaul HD is by far one of the easiest to install.
One of the best things about the OverHaul HD is the height adjustability so you can raise it up when you're hauling your kayaks and then lower it to cab-height when it's unloaded for a really clean look.
If you don't already have kayak carriers I recommend picking up 2 sets of the Yakima BigCatch Kayak Carrier # Y04091 which come with it's own tie-downs and is rated for up to a 150 lb boat so each set can easily handle your 100 lb kayaks.

Hi Adam I have got a 2020 Ram 1500 Limited Crew Cab. I would like to get the Bak Revolver S4 Tonneau cover and the Thule TracRac SR Sliding ladder as you recommend. However on the Thule website it is telling me that the TracRac SR Sliding ladder does not fit my truck although I am getting different information from other websites. Can you please let me know if this combination will work with my truck? Thank you.
