Question:
Can I bottom mount this low profile winch? This is for my 1 ton flat bed. Possibly below the rub rail? Then I have more welding surface available to me.

Sure, you can weld the low-profile Titan Chain Lashing Winch for Flatbed Truck or Trailer # TCLR860 to the bottom of your flatbed truck. The only difference between this winch and the "bottom mount" Titan Chain Lashing Winch for Flatbed Truck or Trailer # TCLR850 is that the "bottom mount" on the latter is an extra inch taller. So if you are sure you can reliably access the low-profile # TCLR860 winch it can be mounted on the bottom.
This winch will need a strap and can use the 4" x 30' Titan Chain Strap # TCLR430-1, which uses a flat hook, # TCLR430-4, which uses a sewn loop, or # TCLR430-5, which uses a chain hook.
You will also need a winch tightening bar, the Titan Chain Winch Tightening Bar # TCLRWBS-C (Chrome) or # TCLRWBS-B (Black)
