Question:

Howdy, I am trying to figure out with product would best suit my 2014 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD. I have installed a Curt class III concealed hitch and have a Kuat NV 2.0 that is setup for four mountain bikes. Problem that you have already anticipated is the amount of sag from this setup. I need something that will keep the vehicle from sagging as much as possible. I am considering the adapter to raise the rack up a bit, but really need some kind of rear suspension enhancement system. Which product would work and hold up well. Does durability an important factor in either of these products. Thank you!

In order to help support the weight of the hitch mounted bike rack on your 2014 Toyota Sienna, I recommend using the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs part # AL60732 over the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TTORSEN04. The reason for this is because the Timbrens are only going to engage once the threshold of your suspension is reached. The weight of your bike rack and four bikes might not allow for this so you will want to use the Air Lift airbags because they do not require a threshold to be reached in order to experience benefits. The airbags are also not going to compromise the ride quality as much.

The Air Lift airbags are completely adjustable so you can choose how much support you want. They are easier to install than the Timbrens which you can see from the attached install video and more cost effective. The durability will be no problem whatsoever as they have a lifetime warranty. I do not recommend using an adapter to lift the bike rack as this is going to reduce the capacity of the trailer hitch by 50% which is does not sound like you can afford to lose.
