Question:
03 HR Scepter Entry Step The entry step when retracting makes a clicking noise when retracting with the motor still running. The entry step is Coach Step #725-0001 SN 1356996. Do I need to replace the motor, gear, or linkage, or all three. Would it be easier and less expensive to replace the entire step?

For your Coach step, it sounds like you could use some replacement parts. I recommend the Replacement Motor for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301695 (you can reuse spacers if needed) and the gear # LC301696. These two parts could be the cause of the clicking noise, or you may just need the Replacement Self-Lubricating Bushing for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC116531 if the clicking is in the frame. If you replace the gear and motor, you may want to consider the Replacement Double Ball Joint for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC388220 as well.
If you want to replace the entire step, I need more information on the mounting dimensions and the rise of the step to give you the best replacement option for your motorhome. I've linked the page to the options for reference.
