Question:

Looking for a hitch for my 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon, Class III. I see quite a few. Can you make a recommendation? Thank you!

We do indeed have a nice selection of Class III trailer hitches available that are confirmed to fit your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon. The primary difference between the hitch models is their physical appearance and how they will actually mount to the vehicle's frame.

I like the Draw-Tite # 76227 Class III hitch which features a hidden design where only the receiver portion of the hitch will be visible beneath the rear bumper. Because of this the installation process is a bit more involved than the other options (requiring temporary removal of the bumper/fascia and some fascia trimming) but I think it's worth it to have a sleeker, more OEM appearance especially on a new vehicle like your Outback. I recommend the Draw-Tite # 76227 since it has a great towing weight capacity of 6,000 pounds which indicates it is a durable unit.

The other Class III hitches available for your vehicle, such as the Curt # C13206, feature the same capacities as the mentioned Draw-Tite model but they will have an exposed cross beam when installed on the vehicle. I have attached a couple of images that compares the hidden Draw-Tite hitch with the Curt alternative so you can get a better idea of this difference.

I have also attached an installation instructions on the Draw-Tite hitch that you can take a look at.
