Question:

hello, we received a used kuat transfer 2-bike rack from someone. but we need to install a hitch on our 2016 subaru outback. would the following hitch work well? Item # e98847 also any tips on where to go for installation of the hitch and how much that should cost? we are in the south palm beach county, florida area, if you happen to have some recommended installers in our area. thanks.

The etrailer hitch part # e98847 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon and would work well if the Kuat Transfer bike rack you have now. The other option you might consider is the Draw Tite # 76227 which has a concealed cross tube which allows it to be a little less visible and also better ground clearance.

We don't have installers we specifically recommend for hitch installs but if you go with a local mechanic to you that has a good reputation they should have no problem. Most likely they'd charge around 1 shop hour too.
