You may be able to just install idler hubs on your trailer but there are a few things you should check first. Look in the owner's manual of your tow vehicle to see if it specifies when you should have brakes on your trailer. Depending on the vehicle, sometimes the manual states that lighter trailers do require brakes.
The other thing to check is your local laws (or the laws of any place you may be traveling through). Some places do require that trailers weighing over a certain amount of lbs need to have brakes. Since you have a lighter trailer the odds are better for you not needing brakes.
If this is the case then we do have some idler hubs that may fit your application. Part # 8-258-50UC1-EZ is what I recommend checking out for a replacement hub. It has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and is compatible with 2,200 lb axles.
To determine that this is compatible with your axle you will need to pull a hub and check to see if you have # L44649 inner and outer bearings. The inner diameter of your grease seal will also need to be 1.5". Attached is a picture to show where each of these will ride on your spindle. Let me know if you have different bearings or grease seal measurement and I can help you find what will work with your axle.
