Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the DeeMaxx 10 inch hub and rotor assembly kit with the mechanical brake, five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern, has a MAXX coating and this is for 3,500 pound axles. Now this kit here will let you upgrade your trailer from drum to disc brakes for superior performance and it even adds a mechanical parking brake. It is a single piece hub and rotor assembly, so it makes installation a snap whether you're retrofitting or switching from drum brakes. It will include everything I have laid out here on the table. Comes with the two MAXX coated cast iron hub and rotor assemblies with the pre-installed bearing races in them already.
Comes with the two MAXX coated calipers that has the brake pads, the installation bolts and as we mentioned the mechanical brake lever attached. And then it also comes right here with two MAXX coated caliper mounting brackets. Now the bearings, the grease seal, the grease cap and the lug nuts are all sold separately. And the part numbers for those items that are needed are listed on this product page. Now we'll also require a hydraulic brake actuator that would be rated at 1500 PSI or above, and brake lines to activate your brakes.
And again, those items are sold separately. The hub and rotor, it's a one piece hub and rotor assembly. It reduces the chance of uneven rotor wear. It is a vented design you can see right here that'll dissipate the heat faster to prevent premature brake pad wear. If you notice the holes on the side here of the hat section, they are drainage holes that allow the water to drain easily, further minimizing any corrosion.
Now this kit is excellent for occasional use in salt water or areas with a lot of snow, slush and road salt 'cause as we mentioned, the MAXX coating on it, it's a corrosion resistant MAXX coat finish on the hub and rotor, the calipers, the caliper mounting brackets, and it gives them a salt spray rating of over 1000 hours. Now this kit offers dramatically shorter stopping distances and smooth control braking. We mentioned about the calipers. We're gonna zoom in on one of them to show you. Comes with the ceramic brake pads you can see installed there.
Comes with the installation bolt. Now the stainless steel piston that's on the inside, it is a 2 1/4 inch diameter stainless steel piston that'll provide a fast responsive braking. And then if we also mention, if you notice here, this is a mechanical caliper that allow you to install a hand brake onto your trailer to use as a parking brake. Now this does require minimal maintenance, saving you time and money. It is designed to fit a 3,500 pound axle, bolt pattern on this is five on 4 1/2 inches. The wheel stud diameter is a half an inch and the rotor diameters are 10 inches. But that should do it for a look at the DeeMaxx 10 inch hub and rotor assembly kit with the mechanical brake five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern with the MAXX coating for 3,500 pound axles.
