Trailer jacks are rated for the amount of tongue weight that the trailer has. Typically trailer tongue weight is around 10 percent of total trailer weight. So for a 1,500 lb jack to be at capacity the trailer would most likely weigh near 15,000 lbs. So a 21 ft boat trailer would have no problem with a 1,500 lb jack capacity.
Our most popular swivel jack for a boat trailer is the part # MJ-1200B which has a 1,200 lb capacity and would work well.
